How we get Finley to clear his plate

Finley is a good eater.  He always has been, from 10 months on.  We're more on the strict side as parents in terms of food, but that's only part of the reason he likes fish and vegetables.  I think a large part of it is just palate, and his is diverse for a toddler (spicy food is okay, fish, all veggies, and oh, about 20 cherry tomatoes a day from the garden!)

He usually uses silverware well, too.  But tonight he requested eating with what he calls the "grabbiner."
Grilled salmon, zucchini, summer squash, and bell peppers.

How my child resembles Jaws.

And speaking of the garden, this is the load we brought in yesterday:

The tomatillos were all volunteer, in mostly shade, and grew
in 70-degree weather.  How is this possible?  I have no idea,
but they made a mean green salsa!
Garden porn.

This is what the toddler does in the garden:

Finley needs to teach Rowan how to eat a tomato. He loves to pick them off the plants in our garden, but refuses to eat them! He'd rather throw them around the yard.
